The short version: All calculations happen locally in your browser. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any financial data you enter into our calculators. Period.

1. Who We Are

CashTwo ("we," "us," "our") is operated from the Province of Ontario, Canada. This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information on cashtwo.com (the "Site") and complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy legislation.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be absolutely clear about what we do not collect:

Financial data: All calculator inputs (income, debts, savings, rates, goals) are processed entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript. No financial data is ever transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Account information: We do not require registration, login, or account creation of any kind.
Payment information: We do not process payments or store credit card, bank, or other payment data.
Social Security Numbers / SINs: We never request or collect government identification numbers.

3. Information We May Collect

We may collect limited, non-personal information for site analytics and functionality:

Analytics data: Anonymized page views, approximate geographic region (country/province level), device type, browser type, and referring URL. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.
Contact form submissions: If you voluntarily contact us via our contact form, we collect the information you provide (name, email, message). This data is processed by Formspree and is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Server logs: Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may automatically record IP addresses, request timestamps, and URLs accessed. These logs are managed by Cloudflare under their privacy policy and are not used by us to identify individual users.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses minimal cookies:

Essential cookies: May be used for basic site functionality and security (e.g., Cloudflare security cookies). These cannot be disabled.
Analytics cookies: If enabled, anonymized analytics cookies may track page views. No personal information is collected.
Third-party advertising cookies: If advertisements are displayed, third-party ad networks (such as Google AdSense) may set cookies to serve relevant ads. You may opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings or AboutAds.info.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect the functionality of our calculators.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Cloudflare: Hosting, CDN, and security services.
Google AdSense: Advertising (if enabled). Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
Formspree: Contact form processing.
Google Fonts: Typography delivery.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes. Ever.

6. Data Retention

Since we do not collect financial data, there is nothing to retain. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and are deleted within 90 days unless ongoing correspondence requires otherwise.

7. Your Rights Under Canadian Law

Under PIPEDA and applicable Ontario law, you have the right to:

Know what personal information we hold about you (if any)
Request correction of any inaccurate personal information
Request deletion of your personal information
Withdraw consent to the collection of your personal information
File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

9. International Users

This Site is operated from Ontario, Canada. If you access the Site from outside Canada, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local laws. Any information collected is processed and stored in accordance with Canadian privacy legislation.

10. Security

We employ industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption, Cloudflare DDoS protection, and secure hosting infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any information transmitted to or from the Site.

11. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
